Objective

The CAIRO AI Receptionist is a customizable virtual assistant that answers calls, shares information, routes callers, and can schedule appointments using natural conversation.

You can create multiple AI Receptionists for different needs (e.g., reception, support, sales, billing) and customize each one with your business information, voice preferences, and call routing rules. It helps improve call handling, reduce wait times, and provide a consistent caller experience.
 

Symptoms

  • Basic CAIRO troubleshooting
     

Procedure

If you encounter issues:

  • Confirm that Cairo AI is enabled for your domain.
  • Ensure you are using an Office Manager to access.
  • Verify that the business information fields are complete, as missing data may impact responses.
  • Review knowledge entries for accuracy and relevance.

For Netsapiens/Crexendo Support Agents:

  1. Check that the automatically created system user (AI Receptionist) is created for the domain
  2. Check that the Answering Rules for the system user (AI Receptionist) is set to Forward Always to Cairo
  3. Check that the Cairo AI Receptionist Config UI is created for the domain during enablement (CXDO_MKTPLACE_CAIRO)
