This guide provides instructions for optimizing Google Chrome to ensure the best experience with Persona Connect. These settings help prevent session timeouts, maximize performance, and ensure stable real-time communication.
Keep VIP Webphone Active in Chrome
To prevent Chrome from suspending the Crexendo VIP Webphone and Portal, add it to the Always keep these sites active list.

In Google Chrome, copy and paste
chrome://settings/performance
in the address bar and press Enter. - Under General, find Always keep these sites active and click Add.

Select Add sites manually, enter
portal.crexendovip.com
, and then click Add.

Ensuring Persona Connect remains active prevents Chrome from terminating sessions due to inactivity.
Enable Hardware Acceleration
Hardware acceleration improves performance by offloading processing to the GPU.

In Google Chrome, copy and paste
chrome://settings/system
in the address bar and press Enter. - Find Use graphics acceleration when available and toggle the switch ON.
- Click Relaunch to apply changes.

Enable Microphone, Speaker, and Notifications for Crexendo VIP Webphone
To ensure full functionality of Persona Connect, allow access to the microphone, speakers, and notifications.
- Open Google Chrome and go to https://portal.crexendovip.com to bring up the Crexendo VIP Web Portal.
- Click the icon to the left of the website address to view site information.

Select Site settings and modify the following permissions:
- Microphone: Set to Allow
- Notifications: Set to Allow.
- Sound: Set to Allow.
- Popup and Redirects: Set to Allow
- Refresh the page for changes to take effect.

Can I use a different browser?
Persona Connect is supported only in Google Chrome. Other browsers may experience compatibility issues and should be used with caution. We are unable to provide any troubleshooting on other browsers and would require any issues to be replicated in the Google Chrome browser.
