Who is this Guide For?
- Crexendo customers using VIP Group Messaging
- All Users with access to VIP Group Messaging
What You’ll Accomplish
- Block a contact or phone number so inbound messages from that sender are not stored
- Understand what happens when a sender is blocked
- Manage your personal Blocked Senders list
Overview
The Blocked Senders section allows you to manage senders that you have previously blocked in VIP Group Messaging.
Blocking a contact will not delete the contact or previous messages, but will cause the contact to remain hidden at all times.
Important: Inbound messages from a blocked sender will not be stored and are therefore impossible to view.
Note: Blocked messages are still subject to your provider's standard message rate.

Troubleshooting
I blocked someone, but I still see older messages
- Blocking does not delete previous messages. It only prevents new inbound messages from being stored.
- The contact may remain hidden, but historical messages may still be visible depending on your view and app behavior.
Why can’t I find any messages from a blocked sender?
- Inbound messages from blocked senders are not stored, so they cannot be viewed later.
Will blocking stop message rate charges?
- No. Blocked messages may still count toward your provider’s standard message rate.
FAQ
